Chelsea Kirkpatrick, BA Psych., MCP Candidate
In my practice, I assist clients in living fulfilling lives through discovering their authentic selves. I take a deep, compassionate, and non-judgemental interest in my clients’ inner experience. In my view, all concerns are valuable and important to explore. Through this exploration process, clients can grow in self-acceptance and in turn, make life choices they can wholeheartedly stand behind.
Therapy can be an intimidating process. I value the bravery it takes to try something so vulnerable. Ultimately, it is essential that you feel deeply seen and understood and I feel passionate about cultivating a strong connection as we work together. I look forward to meeting with you and building trust and safety together.
My education includes an Honours BA in Psychology, certification in Existential Analysis and Logotherapy, a Diploma in Professional Counselling and current enrollment in the Masters of Counselling Psychology Program at Adler University. Over the past ten years, I have been putting this learning to practice in my work as a Youth Outreach Substance Use Counsellor and at Youth Detox. I’ve had many deep encounters with clients who inspire me to continue. In my current practice, I am enjoying working with adults bringing a range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief, sexuality, relationships, addiction, life transitions, and trauma.
When I’m not practicing or studying therapy you can likely find me spending quality time with people or potatoes.
I’m excited to be offering low-cost counselling through my internship at Exist Psychotherapy with Rochelle as my supervisor. I invite you to reach out by phone or email if you would like to speak with me about starting counselling or to book a session.
